Training for the Marathon?

Whether you are training for the Boston Marathon or are just an avid runner you should consider adding barre classes to your training routine. Barre is great cross training for runners. 


According to Runners World Magazine, cross training should improve your cardio, strengthen muscles and help speed the recovery process.

Barre is a low impact class but is highly effective! You will work stabilizing muscles which will lead to better posture and becoming a healthier runner. Although all runners know they should stretch, you are forced to stretch when taking a barre class. Stretching obviously helps open up tight hips and stretch out the quads and tight hamstrings! Barre class keeps things fresh and interesting while training for a marathon and helps strengthen the joints and muscles to prevent injury! We couldn't think of a better way to cross train!
